Vape Devices
Vape devices come in all shapes and sizes. The biggest difference to consider in choosing your e-cigarette is whether you pick an open mod or a closed system pod vape. This will depend on what you’re vaping for. The open systems can be more complex as it is up to the vaper to buy all the parts and accessories needed. The closed system, like pod vapes, are simpler and safer - and are the go to for those looking to vape to quit smoking. What is an open system?
Never heard of it? Maybe you’ve heard of a box mod? Terms such as “tank, ohms, coils, cotton, drip tips, o-rings, outer and center tubes, and batteries” all are parts that make up a mod tank. There are more - believe it or not!
Mod tanks are open systems that require assembly and part replacement. They allow for almost unlimited variation when it comes to how to build them - but also inherently cause confusion and frustration with vapers because of all the parts and replacements.
What is the difference between a box mod and a pod vape?
Closed systems - commonly known as pod vapes - are as simple as vaping gets. The e-cigarettes come with no interchangeable parts. All you do is charge it and replace the “pods”. The pods contain a regulated amount of e-liquid with your choice of nicotine strength. They are much smaller and discreet compared to bigger box mods.
Is a pod vape or a box mod better for me?
It all depends on why you’re looking to vape. If it’s to help quit smoking, there is no debate anymore. A closed pod system is the only way to go. Reliable, safe, discreet, and inexpensive - pod vapes were invented for this.
